I can see the benefit of having Byakuya alive for this cause he gives her words of wisdom & acknowledges her, but instead of being saved she could've had a flashback of being trained by Byakuya during the timeskip & he could've said those same words & by remembering those moments she'd break out & finish the fight.

Having Byakuya show up to save Rukia AGAIN kinda takes away from this moment really being her own. First at the Sokyoku, then again in Las Noches, and now here. For her to step out from his shadow and become her own person, I would have liked to see her come up with a way to counter Tartar Foras on her own and end the fight herself with no assistance. Regardless, they had/have some nice moments together where Byakuya acknowledges her strength.
