Most of 12th Squad Captain Explanation is relegated to the mid episode info cards but they just didn't bother translating them. Also I don't think the additions are just "minor editions". In the manga we only see Glasses Boy before the Karakura Gang goes to Hueco Mundo and then he reappears about where this cour ends. We don't see any development, reactions, thought processes of him in the manga. I think those additional scenes really change the signifigance of his character

It’s not spoilery, it shows the character designs of the original 13 Captains from 1000 years ago. Also our old man died standing if you noticed. Kubo said he always planned for his death to be like that with being slashed like that, this kind of death slash even has a specific Japanese term, which i don’t remember right now. This arc is full of reveals and surprises, there’s more awaiting in next episodes.

2023-05-16 00:28:27 +0000 UTCNothing super new has been added, just little things here and there like showing the Sternritter who cut down Rue Key Uh, because that wasn’t revealed in the manga. In fact, there have been some explanations and other dialogue that have been cut that provide a lot more insight to what’s going on. For example, the expiation of the Sternritter Y trickery, as well as Mad Scientist captain explaining to Strawberry boy in depth the significance of having a broken Kaiban. If you haven’t already you should go back and read the manga up to the point the anime has covered so you can see everything that has been cut.
