Seeing how the comments are like, I'll give this arc a chance, but the next one is no good. I'll definitely watch the slice of life stuff, I love that kind of content.

It's clear you don't like them and that's fine but you wanted this to turn into a fight because I suggested Lucky shouldn't skip which isn't a bad thing by the way because Lucky gets told almost on a consistent basis to skip certain episodes and arcs yet he never listens because he wants to experience the show how he wants to. You're the one who called me selfish and immature in my post but tell me how am I any of those things when I just suggest Lucky read the entire book instead of skip to the end of it, anyone telling him to do that is the real selfish one. Now in many of your responses you claim that you never said Lucky should skip if he doesn't want to but then why were a lot of your comments arguing against me for having positive things to say about the arcs and why someone like Lucky might enjoy them.

That person's been arguing with me on separate threads because I said Lucky shouldn't skip episodes because as you said he enjoys those types of episodes and his enjoyment shouldn't be stopped because of people who are too impatient to wait for manga canon. I just thought it was hypocritical for that person to agree with your post that Lucky should enjoy the show how he wants too which is what I want as well yet this person wants to start trouble with me for saying let him enjoy the episodes and don't be pestering him to skip.

2023-05-06 08:05:42 +0000 UTCAlright: now that we're outside of manga-canon stuff: heres a spoiler free rundown on how the anime-canon arcs are playing out. 221 - 230: Very simple arc that pretty much alternates between very good episodes split up in with some very not-good episodes. Quite a mixed bag, but the hype moments are legit hype. 231 - 255: This arc is *rough*. I'm not exaggerating when I say half of the people watching the anime probably dropped the series because of this very arc. Low quality art and animation, writing characters making questionable decisions, and made even worse by the fact that there is a good central idea to the arc: but this really is the epitome of "good concept, bad execution" [Plus, being the longest anime-canon arc doesn't help matters] 261- 273: Including the one-shot episodes that preceded it: this arc is a significant change of pace, in that this is a Slice of Life anime now. Very low stakes each episode, focusing more on comedy and characters. As such: how much you can enjoy this arc is basically based on how much you like that type of genre. If you're the type of person that likes watching stuff like Lucky Star or K-On: you'll probably like this arc: but it's certainly not a "shonen" arc. 274 - 281: Pretty much universally regarded as the best arc of this batch. Animation is good: plot is interesting, and for the first time in a while; actually connects back to manga canon in an interesting way. [Personally I have a bit of a problem with the last few eps, but that's for when we get there lol] 282 - 286: Adaptation of one of the light novels. It has nothing to do with the main series; and has a few issues with things being lost in translation, but it is a canon story that is interesting to watch. Even if being in anime form did result in some tik-tok memes~ And after that we have 7 episodes worth of manga canon before "Part 1" ends.

Some writers can handle having multitudes of characters, Kishimoto is clearly not one of them; he does much better with smaller casts of like a dozen or so, and at least in the manga; he's sticking to that comfort limit. Much better then the mistake of building up a vast array of side characters and then forgetting about most of them.

If you just go by what happens in the manga Kawaki has no development at all and is an emotionless robot. In the anime we see him smile and laugh and make friends which is important because it packs an even greater emotional impact once the eventual betrayal comes into play. We also see the potential that Himawari might have based on how she conducts herself in a certain arc and if you want to call that arc trash than fine but don't act so arrogant and assume everyone's like you that it doesn't deserve to be given a chance. You want to call me immature but you're the one whining that Lucky's going to watch them all anyway.

He also says there could be potential side affects like blindness or even death. The anime just changed it to completely stopping it since they went into anime cannon episodes after 220 so Boruto could still go out on missions without the audience having to worry about Momoshiki coming back out. But for the sake of future Manga cannon, the Mangas explanation is the correct explanation of the pills so just remember that. Also they make a point to say those cyborgs are stronger then Jigen not Issiki and the distinction is said on purpose.

I've seen a lot of reactors fall into this same trap then when a character displays an ability they haven't seen before or performs an action they think they wouldn't they're clueless because they listened to people who told them to skip.

2023-05-06 00:44:23 +0000 UTCThat's your opinion, Lucky's the type of person who enjoys these episodes because other characters get the spotlight for a little while which is something we didn't get to see a lot of in OG Naruto or Shippuden which many people complained about yet in Boruto they're doing just that and people still find a reason to complain. The episodes are meant to be the calm before the storm and we get to see other teams and their captains get episodes to themselves and it makes the world seem more expansive when we don't just focus on the titular characters for awhile. Lucky has made it up to 220 episodes without skipping one and you think he's going to start now. You're just like those others who kept pestering him to switch to sub and guess what he didn't until there were no more dub episodes. Let him enjoy the show the way he wants to, just because you think these episodes don't have merit doesn't mean he'll feel the same way.

I don't mind slice of life, but for example that hidden mist arc is so bad and doesn't contribute with anything to the story. Ik lucky is likely to not skip them but I said if he wanted to, he can and there's nothing wrong with doing so since it's around these eps when the series went downhill and lost most a lot of popularity.

Get over it they're in an era of peace so it stands to reason they can have slice of life episodes where they can play and enjoy themselves for awhile before the bad stuff happens. You should know by now Lucky isn't going to skip anything as this isn't Naruto with actual filler it's anime canon and it makes up for setting up the manga events.

Code without limiters is stronger than JIGEN but I don't think he is stronger than Isshiki. JIGEN tho is strong enough to Beat Rinnegan Sasuke and Kurama Naruto. Remember Jigen could not contain Isshiki power. Keep up the great reactions.

Personally this is the part of the anime that is the hardest for me, all the anime canon between momo fight and kara arc was way better than what's to come. I dropped this show on these back when I was watching weekly and I just couldn't get back into it. HOWEVER you are different, you also enjoy the slower paced less relevant episodes, who knows maybe you have a great time with the next arcs. As long as you have fun, this is your journey with the show after all.

In episode 220 yes Lucky Naruto started having a panic attack just like in Shippuden when everyone said they were going to have to kill Sasuke. Also in 221 you can see how Naruto's brush with death effected him that he's making sure to be there for Boruto to comfort him and encourage him now that he doesn't want to miss out with being with his children, we also see Boruto's maturity and development in how secure he is now as a person that he wanted to show his father how he's grown up even if he doesn't make chunin he's going to do what's right because he knows his dad has his back and he doesn't have to try to impress him like he tried to do in the other exams.
