I don't believe that Yamato and Yukimi are related to each other. If you recall Yukimi's brother Tenzo was taken by Lord Orochimaru 3 years ago while as Yamato was snatched away for experimentation as an infant. Yamato stayed with Orochimaru/Danzo for 10 years before meeting up with Yukimi here, who happened to have lost her brother 3 years ago. So the timeline doesn't match up. One more explanation can be the fact that Yamato can't use that smoke transformation jutsu like the rest of the Eburi clan can, which further cements the possibility of him for not been from that clan. In the eyes of Yukumi however, Yamato looks like Tenzo and as such she approached him as if he was her own little brother. On the other hand, Tenzo knows what it means to be alone. He was the only survivor among the 60 test subjects of Orochimaru, so he knows what it means to be alone, just like Yukimi does. So both of them see a silver of hope in each other as to the fact that they don't have to be alone anymore and can be with each other from here on out. That's why Yamato agreed upon the name Tenzo and even called himself Tenzo when he started running away form Kakashi with Yukimi earlier. Earlier as an infant, Yamato couldn't do much, he saw how the number of other test subjects decreased one by one untill there where only 2 of them left. That gave him hope, because he wasn't the only one, however when that other kid died, he was left all alone, he realised that he was unable to protect those he wanted to protect or cared for. However at the ending of this episode, he realised that he too can protect someone precious to him and accepted the results with a smile on his face.

feel like Yamato is projecting his feelings he had towards that girl from the other tank onto Yukimi, that’s why he really wants to help her he doesn’t want to lose her too, just like she is projecting her feelings on him cause she lost Tenzo :) now even Kakashi is getting mixed because of Rin this is sort of a triangle but I wouldn’t call it a love one, maybe a trauma triangle xD we saw the start of Kakashi and Yamato bond and we get now why he called him Tenzo :)
