Kekkei Genkai are rare keeping a clan pure can help (but brings other problems with it) but even then it can happen that the Kekkei Genkai dies out also some Kekkei Genkai are more likely to be passed down then others. Wood style never again was passed down and Kimimaro's Clan the Kaguya Clan feared his Kekkei Genkai (The Shikotsumyaku) because they didn't saw it for generations and even forgot about it.

I love how they are demonstrating the difference between the generations, the older generation was a lot stronger than the newer ones, since they were all brought up during war times they had to be more tough while our guys have been around mostly during peaceful days :D poor Onoki definitely had a rough time when it came to ladies :D he low key looks like Gargamel xD that was a great dialogue between the two brothers :)
