Don't know if you guys know, but when you're asking if this ep had a different director, most of the show is Bill Hader's (and Alan Berg's) work. Bill Hader writes, directs, produces, and acts probably along with doing a little of everything else. This episode's directed by Bill Hader and most of the episodes in season 3 and 4 are. Barry definitely has a surreal feel to it sometimes, especially in this episode.
