That's fair, I suppose. Yeah, I get the motivation. It's still reckless as hell, but Avon is a character that moves differently than I do and you just got to accept that, lol.

Stringer still a bitch. Thatβs his family and if he wanted to do so, he should have checked with Avon, or at least brought it up. Even the dude he paid for DβAngeloβs hit even said Baltimore niggas was off the hook for that.

idk if i misunderstood your affirmation during that scene with omar and his crew when they showed all the money and drugs they took, but for the sake of clarity, he had nothing to do with that robbery in hamsterdam in the beginning of he episode.

Slim Charles could've been there in Avon's spot.
Avon was there due to the fact that Avon wanted to be there because his "REP" means more to him than just about ANYTHING else.

Avon was there because they're low on muscle and there's already been several incidents where it's shown the people they have no are not competant at their work.

Omar says in the dialogue when he sat on the couch that "the Eastside wasn't ready" for his crew. This would've let y'all know that it wasn't then that robbed Amsterdam dealers.
THE WIRE is a Show where you can NOT get away with talking over dialogue because there are no wasted words in this series.

Stringer told Avon about D'Angelo because Avon was outta pocket with his comments so Stringer had to pop his bubble.
Stringer told Avon π―% FACTS
Stringer as a partner to Avon had the responsibility to take D'Angelo out.
Stringer was NOT wrong in doing that based on the fact that D'Angelo had ALREADY snitched about the whereabouts of Wee-Bet.
Stringer went to the spot to advise Avon about what to do next after getting out maneuvered by Marlo & possibly to tell him that Brianna is being harassed by McNulty. Avon got to talking without thinking so Stringer brought him back down to earth.
If you think about it, Stringer could've just reminded Avon that he NOT Avon snatched the life of Lil Man & Wallace but Stringer felt so disrespected in that moment that he told him the WHOLE TRUTH about D'Angelo.

EXACTLY..
& Avon's mind is STILL institutionalized as he just came from a situation where his "Rep" holds ALL the weight in the World & now that he's out, there's a "young boy" named Marlo that is NOT intimidated nor impressed with Avon's Rep whatsoever.
This bothers Avon to his core.
It makes PERFECT sense that Avon would be RECKLESS enough to put himself in the position to get himself shot.

Anthony "Tony" Colicchio is the name of the Officer with the Mohawk-like haircut that is mad because he can't beat up the young black males selling drugs in Hamsterdam.

EXACTLY Blood Raven.. some people aren't listening to the dialogue & or following the story as it's being presented.
In Reality, many of Avon's troubles are because he didn't apply the advice Stringer gives to him in a timely manner.
Avon doesn't realize how right Stringer is until after the fact...
Case on point in Season 1 when Stringer advised Avon on how to deal with Hoe-Mar, I mean Omar & it wasn't until AFTER Omar almost killed Avon at Orlando's did Avon take Stringer's advice & told Stringer that it was "good advice".
Same thing happened in Season 2 when Stringer advised Avon to give up a slice of the Project Towers in order to get the steady quality Product that Prop-Hoe, I mean Prop Joe had access to.
It wasn't until Brother Mouzone got popped that Avon realized that he himself had no more clout with ANY quality Connects that he told Stringer to go to Joe & to run the B & B Organization "as you see fit... until I get home...". Then Avon gets home and sees how Stringer has put them into a position to LEVEL UP to becoming "The Bank" & Avon tells Stringer at the Condo during his coming home party,
"You Did Good".
It wasn't until Avon found out that they couldn't punk Marlo, that everything changed.

Stringer didn't give away the corners to Prop Joe. The Barksdale crew didn't need corners because they had the towers and the low rises, which was the best territory in the whole city. They tore the towers down at the beginning of this season. Their whole plan was to fold all the other drug crews into the co-op so they wouldn't have to beef with anyone over territory. Marlo was the only one who wasn't fuckin with it. He didn't back down and now he and Avon are beefing over territory.

The robbery in Hamsterdam was just some random crew. It was done to show how unsafe Hamsterdam is for the dealers because Bunny told them not to bring guns in there.
Omar's crew stuck up some Eastside dealers. When they came in with the loot Kimmy said "Eastside wasn't ready for us huh?" Because of what happened to Tosha, they've now switched over to easier targets instead of pushing Omar's vendetta against the Barksdales.

Exactly, he thinks being a businessman is the way so he basically said fuck the streets. Marlo is strong because Stringer ignored the problem. When it came to being a drug lord Stringer wanted to have his cake and eat it too. It's wild how many reactions I've seen constantly complain about Avon warring as if warring wasn't how he got the crown to start with.

Thing about Avon to me is that the majority of his problems are because of Stringer's mistakes when he was locked up. Stringer gave away the best corners in the city to their rival and also didn't build up any muscle, lol. Stringer has good ideas, but I don't see how you avoid war when you let a dude like Marlo gain all that territory/money while also having a better army.
