It's crazy wild how they built the whole musical foundation of the episode behind the blending of the same two songs, and then in the very last minute of the show they just casually drop the guitar solo from Hotel California as background music in the basement. Also, this is something new I picked up on this time: After the first attempt to get the lamp in failed, half the team had to dip to head off to Denver to "look into a mosque" showing the shift of the FBI on a larger scale from organized crime more towards anti terrorism in 2001. What's really fun is we are watching The Wire together and both these shows are set in about the same time and Wire makes a big deal about the feds changing it up, even before 9/11.
