Bladesinger UA

OK, THIS one is the Bladesinger UA (doing so many videos they are getting mixed up in my head).
And as of now, I am taking a break from working on videos until I'm back from vacation.
(Also, I'm aware of the error with the level 18 feature on the Spellfire Sorcerer, I've pinned the correcting comment and a slightly edited version will be released publically)
Man I was waiting patiently for the barbarian video, to only today discover they didn't add a new barbie class. Big sad
Everyone knows wizards are just dudes who failed the big muscle exam at school 😤

Is the Two-Handed or Heavy restriction still necessary? Non-heavy would be a extra ave DPR of +1 (1d8 -> 1d10), and Heavy now has a Str req of 13, so you would be MAD for Int, Dex, Con (for Concentration), and then Str for just wanting a specific weapon. I'm not saying Bladesinger isn't already an amazing subclass, just curious why the restriction is still there

Don't see any reason why it wouldn't work? Not sure it needs clarification

I think bladework makes optimising bladesingers a bit simpler too - it was an awkward trade-off deciding whether to buff dex first and get your weapon attacks online, or intelligence first and get your spells online - this makes it nice & simple - you max out intelligence first, then come back for dex later.
The cantrip interaction of the level 14 feature is little more than flavour really - you can get the BA attack just by using TWF. All this would do is effectively let you use TWF without having a second weapon. If a DM doesn’t allow it, ok, fine - I used twf for the last 13 levels, i’ll just carry on with that.

It’s important to note that the Valor Bard’s Battle Magic feature has the exact same wording as this Bladesinger’s Song of Victory feature.

I like the updates a lot. And I agree that lvl 14 stacks will cantrip of lvl 6. But it would help to spell it out to prevent confusion.

Ok looking the last one. My interpretation of the 14th level feat. Yes if you use cantrip from your muilti attack it does allow you to make that bonus action attack. They would have said when you take the magic action or cast a spell of first level or higher. They didn't. They said a spell with a casting time of an action. Which you muiti attack feature calls out.
