This seems like a phoned-in set of books from WOTC.

I wonder what would happen if a spelljamming ship travels through space at a couple million miles per day, and then flies near another object. Let's say two spelljamming ships travel in opposite directions so that they would pass really close to one another. At that speed I presume the crews would not be able to see the other ship in time to enact any useful maneuvers. When the ships get close to each other they would immediatly slow down from "ridiculous speed" to "really slow speed", instantly killing their crew because they apparently don't slow down but just, kind of, lose the speed instantly. But then, you wouldn't need another object coming close, because apparently that happens every time a ship speeds up or slows down between the two possible traveling speeds....

I absolutely 100% agree. I preordered Stryxhaven thinking I could run a campaign for my daughter and her friends. But it was awful, IMO. It lacked anything compelling. And I haven't pre-ordered anything since. I bought MoM and I'm fairly happy with it. but their setting material has been a joke.
I think you're right. They are focused on One D&D. The only reason MoM was decent is because it was part of that effort to revise all of the races.
