Yeah, college of swords TWF could have worked pretty well, though it basically ends up being the same thing I talk about in this video, so many builds where you get 3 attacks, 5 with 2 levels fighter and an action surge.

2022-06-01 15:14:56 +0000 UTCOK well perhaps I exaggerate when I say juicy. Two weapon fighting style, and Dual Wielder feat. College of Sword Bard becomes an option then too. All stuff you have not been able to use much in prior builds.

2022-05-31 00:40:23 +0000 UTCI considered twf, but didn't crunch any numbers, my thoughts were that it's just another way to get a bonus action attack (which we can do pretty easily several different ways)

2022-05-30 23:30:28 +0000 UTCI am curious Treantmonk. In all your number crunching, did you ever try a dual melee weapon build? I know that rarely has been effective in the past. But with the surprise attack damage, and the long reach, it seems like that build might finally work. And I see NOBODY trying that out for Bugbears. It seems like everyone is focused on ranged attacks.
