A bladesinger having taken metamagic adept at or before level 16, could use extended spell on Foresight, long rest and still have the level 9 slot for [a supercharged] shapechange, amongst other options.

Would you recommend the war mage build you made previously over the Bladesinger for a wizard that is more filling multiple roles? I have a new campaign where we have 3 arcane casters and a paladin, so I want to be able to fill where needed.
