On a combat against a hag covent and their minions, my lvl 7 cleric was banished for 7 rounds because of a bad roll. I had to watch everybody else play for about an hour and a half before anybody managed to hit the caster and have it lose concentration. It was not a good game.

Love this video - I appreciate your emphasis on the core element of player agency as it contributes to fun.
In my campaigns, I will occasionally use one of these as a DM, but only in a combat that the players clearly understand is going to be a very challenging encounter against a powerful magical foe. In that circumstance, knowing the context, my players will often relish the challenge of trying to prepare contingency plans for these sorts of scenarios. But those combats are few and far between, maybe one per year.
I will also confess to occasionally using force cage on a NPC if I feel that my players are starting to count on their intervention a bit too much ;-)
