Interesting video from this young man I never discourage a player wanting to be involved in all aspects of the game. I do try to encourage players to advocate for themselves IMO the classes in this game obviously were not meant to be equal but rather provide players with template to create characters... the classes are just a mechanics platform A DM should know his players and can create situations for them to be the hero... but the player also needs to seize these opportunities. Yes a powergamer can derail your script... but so can suboptimized characters. Sometimes players are forced to be a superman and superwoman because other pcs are too passive. IMO an optimized character is usually played by an invested player

2021-11-11 15:47:06 +0000 UTCUnique video. Not sure how useful it was. An opinion on an opinion presented as fact. Liked it it but not thrilled by it. There are other role heavy RPGs out there. The other podcaster did not give numerous practical real world examples.
