Finishing up the Tier ranking series

Finishing up the Tier ranking series

Comments

The analysis of the classes, their median rankings vs outliers was what I was interested in seeing. Thanks for that. I have to return to your analysis of the Bard because I was not surprised by Paladin being second. Definitely leads to a video that analyzes Full-caster vs Half-caster. Must be the complimentary list of spells that makes Paladin higher? No. It’s “like to make my Saving Throws”… Does that hold weight over spell versatility that Bards have? Maybe Bards don’t have a versatile enough list. Look forward to more!

I’ll second VK’s comment. Asking for a complete repeat for all 114 at level 20 would be a bit much, but maybe something like VK suggests, the “big movers” or similar. Or maybe a class ranking at level 20.

Great series. I would be interested in a follow-up video addressing subclasses you think would undergo the most dramatic change in rankings if you are in a campaign that would definitely go to level 20. Great job tho.

Thanks! I forgot to put in in the video description. I'll add it right away.

Is there a list of all 114 ranks currently available - I expect that I’m dim but I haven’t been able to find it.

Great series - really enjoyed it. Thank you!

This is a great video. It’s nice to show the thought process and how things change over time. I agree with @German Heller that party composition and filling different roles makes a difference and could be an interesting if large path for the channel to explore.

We've tried one in our home game and it's decent. Not the king of the table, of course, but does its job. I guess the ranking might also differ whether you look at the subclass in a vacuum or in actual gameplay which adds a lot of external factors like what partners you've got, what enemies are you facing, in what environments, etc. My Wizard, for example, is having quite a hard time in Baldur's Gate: Descent to Avernus, no matter how many A ratings its subclasses or its spells get. Overall, though, a quite interesting series of videos.

Absolutely loved this. The hard work shows. As for Armorer I played one in your games I thought they did a great job. They brought back up the person the big bad killed. They made the big bad miss a couple times. Then well….. they got pounded into the dirt. We won the fight and I think my character was a big bonus when action economy is taken into consideration. Be Well,

Yes, it was a lot of work, but it was definitely fun.

Really fun series. Nothing gets the juices flowing quite like a ranking video. Thanks Chris!
