I was really itching to react to Namseok, a duo that I haven't reacted to yet and I'm so happy to report that I love these two together so much! Hobi brings out such a funny and animated side of Namjoon that I don't get to see too often and you can tell Namjoon just feels so at ease when he is with Hobi as well.
I also love that Hobi LOVES messing around with Namjoon and no one is safe from his shenanigans, not even the leader of their group HAHA!
These two are hilarious together and they made me realize there are still so many duo, trio, quadruple + friendship bonds that I have yet to explore in BTS so please keep hooking me up. <3

2024-11-18 21:32:00 +0000 UTCIMO ssi is a misunderstood honorific. Traditionally it used to be more formal but now it's more casual. From what I have been taught you would only use it to address someone you think is near your age, and not of higher social status than you. Using ssi with a superior at work or someone clearly older than you would be seen as rude. It's like... casual-polite. You'd use it with your classmates or coworkers of similar age/experience, for example. Or even with friends who are not quite besties yet. I think here Hobi is using it in a playfully respectful way. Kind of like how I call my mom "mother" if I want her to do something for me, lol. Oh and PS! The romantic pottery wheel scene is from the movie Ghost!

Joon bias but if I could ever be wrecked it’ll hobi or yoongi. Basically a rapline girlie, though I love them all. I live for the camaraderie and friendship. 2024-11-14 16:04:46 +0000 UTCok i’ll let you know all the korean honorifics because they play a huge role in korean culture and the members conversations!! it seems like a lot, but it will eventually just become ingrained in your head - hyung: what a younger male calls an older male - noona: what a younger male calls an older female - unnie: what a younger female calls an older female - oppa: what a younger female calls an older male - ‘ssi’ (what you referred to in the video): when you hear the members say ssi at the end of each others names it’s more of a joke because ssi is basically saying ‘mr’ or ‘mrs’ in korean. in are you sure jungkook and jimin would say jimin-ssi and jungkook-ssi a lot as a joke. - ‘ah’: when you hear ah at the end of someone’s name that means they are referring to someone their age or younger than them. jungkook cannot say ‘ah’ at the end of someone’s name from bts because it would be seen as impolite, but he does it anyway sometimes because he likes to crawl under their skin 😭 - dongsaeng: this is used interchangeably between genders, but it is basically what you call someone younger than you - sunbae: this is what you call someone who is more experienced in a field than you are. for example you would call your boss sunbae - hoobae: this is what you call someone who is less experienced than you in your position, so a boss would call someone below them hoobae. i hope this helps!! you can refer to this whenever!!

Ppl often forget that they're same age friends because most of the focus ends up going towards the 95s friendship when it comes to that, but Namseok have a super strong bond too!! 💜💜💜 Also that run ep where they're in uniform and Jin is the teacher is SOOOOOOO funny. All of the members together and in their units are so so cute. Also the "seok" part would sound more like "suuk" not sure how to accurately write it. Maybe someone else has a better way...so not Ho-so-yuk but it is more like Ho-suuk...I get confused at times too but that is what it sounds like to me when the members have said it.

2024-11-14 11:20:28 +0000 UTCThe sshi is used by bts mostly in a funny way - its more like mr and is used when referring to seniors or like a colleague to his other colleagues -no bts dynamic involves calling each other the sshi cause its used in a very formal settings like sometimes the camera crew use that to refer to the members - here hobi is just being funny its like when we call our friends/partners -“hey u mr” and in korean when your friends its just names you use theres no specific way to call your friend of same age cause your at the same level -its the most comfortable language you can use sometimes you see v calling jimin - yaa which is like a veeryy informal way of speaking cause usually only close friends can use that they cant say that to jhope or namjoon and sometimes jungkook funnily uses yaaa to call v and jimin and they laugh looking at each other cause technically since hes younger that should not be allowed but since they are close they just laugh it off 😂😂😂

2024-11-14 07:09:23 +0000 UTCYou know, j-hope joined just a little over a month after Yoongi and also has been writing for BTS (not to mention directing their practices) since pre-debut (he had writing credits before Yoongi even). So yes, Namgi is a great duo but I think it’s really indefensible to call them “the foundation of the group” while leaving out Hobi. Even Bang PD called ALL THREE of them the “musical pillars of BTS.” Idk if you just didn’t know any of that or if you discount him for some other reason but I just really felt like the omission needed to be called out and corrected. :)

They’re I think probably the closest pair and they really have a lot of levels but it comes down to just adoring each other completely. Like Namjoon said, “Hoseok is always number 1 to Jimin. We’re all second to Hoseok.” And it’s totally reciprocated. They’re my comfort duo. Then jinkook and Namjin, too. Also, everyone gets it wrong at first but “Seok” is pronounced with a vowel sound somewhere in between “soak” and “suck.” It’s one syllable. So Hoseok is pronounced like “Ho-sohk” and it’s “Sohk-Jin (for Seokjin).” Hope that helps! :)

In the rapline team, Yoongi cooked the steak AND the pasta and all Namseok had to do was make the sauce to go on the side of the pasta. When you were asking about what colors make purple, i was reminded of the one question you asked during Burn the Stage about JK's in-ear. So the design is not just 2 lines. It is actually the BTS logo and it is Red and Blue to make the color purple. I like JK's in-ears. For my ARMY Bomb i use decals. When i went to the PTD concert i had Namjoon and Hosoek's name on in and when i went to Suga's concert i changed the decal to D-Day which is still on my ARMY Bomb. I like decals because i change it and switch it around. These 2 are so fun to watch.

It’s like saying Mr or Ms. So Hobi calling RM-shi is like saying Mr. RM. Most of the time when the boys call each other -shi it’s in a sarcastic or playful manner. Oh and another thing I’ve been meaning to mention, Hoseok’s name is just two syllables. It’s pronounced like “Ho-suk”
