Tell me how Namjoon consistently puts out ground breaking, diverse, incredible albums and I don’t hear the world talking about it?! 😭 I am so upset that it took me this long to discover his music because it is SO good and totally my style!
I loved this album from front to end, he really showed us so much of his darkness and bared his soul to perfectly curate an album that so many people, especially those struggling, could relate to.
I’m so happy you guys recommended me this album because it truly is perfect for fall/winter and I WILL be listening to it on repeat!

Mono changed lives! This mixtape/playlist is like therapy for me. It helps me a lot when I feel sad or anxious and literally saved my life a couple of times. Namjoon truly deserves more recognition because he's such an incredible artist. 💜 (I want to get an Everythingoes tattoo so bad)

2024-11-14 15:30:28 +0000 UTCfun fact about the lyrics "feel like a torso" in tokyo, it was actually just what army translators and army in general heard but others can also hear "feel like a tourist so" and/or "feel like a torn soul". namjoon didn't provide the official lyrics when it was released, in a way, we only have the lyrics for seoul, moonchild, and forever rain because it has MVs/visualizers but not for the other songs so we can interpret it the way how we heard the lyrics 🥺 btw, you've heard snippets of seoul in the bts intro video from taylor and everythingoes from the end of the vid of how jungkook loves namjoon and back that you've watched 💜

2024-11-14 09:05:06 +0000 UTCI’m so glad you listened to this bc mono is super special to me (as it is to many armys). 🥺 Namjoon went through very hard times for a few years and in a later BTS song Answer: Love Myself he even says that he “doesn’t want to die anymore” so I think this album and particularly songs like everythingoes were written more for himself than anyone else. Something to note is that “uhgood” is just the pronunciation of the actual title in Korean (어긋). He says this word in the chorus, it’s like the concept of being a little off, not quite right, or misaligned.

Everythingoes however is the only song (other than Amygdala) that made me burst into tears. Something about the emotion in his voice that got to me. A few of his other songs have fall vibes… • “Bicycle” - just a very chill song • “4 o'clock” - Namjoon and V duet. This one is about V and Jimin. • “I know” - a duet with Jungkook. The live performance of this song is cute, seeing those two singing together.

2024-11-13 13:52:21 +0000 UTCI love the fond expression you have whenever you react to anything, it feels so warm and I can really feel how you love them and relate to them. <3 Mono is so special to me. Everythingoes is one of my main comfort songs - especially if I’m grieving, the song is my go-to coping mechanism. I know Namjoon is atheist, but there are many buddhist philosophies in the song “everything must go through pain, pain is a normal and natural part of life, nothing lasts forever, everything constantly changes.” Especially the line “everyday I pray that I might become a slightly better adult” really hits 😅 I’m the same age now that Namjoon was when he wrote this (23 or 24) and that is so so true. If you want, I really recommend his mono vlive! He did a livestream after every album release for a while (starting with 2016 Wings and going until 2020 Map of the soul) and goes through the tracklist, shares his thoughts and behind the scenes. The livestream for mono was really interesting to watch.

I don't want to say he is underrated in the fandom BUT definitely his albums and music should be more popular since they are sooo healing and so so good! That is why RPWP is getting all the love it deserves outside the Kpop world. RM is definitely that kind of artist; outside the box.

2024-11-13 09:11:55 +0000 UTCthere are mvs for seoul, moonchild and forever rain and moonchildren are people of night and namjoon also said he prefers to work at night than in the morning he refrenced moonchild in his song with tae in 4 oclock song(which also talks about being awake at that time) thats it but i dont think this song especially is about tae its for people gng thru depression- if you watch the mv it jus shows you namjoon sitting quietly rapping so i think this song is about anyone whos gng thru it who are awake at night and dont want to mingle with people during the day

But in his collab with Tae (4 o'clock-a song Tae wrote after his fight with Jimin) in that song, there was a line that said ( I call you moonchild) this was years before mono dropped

And that plays a huge part in in it sadly. Which is crazy because he is sooooo fine.😩😩😩 And I'm a loyal gal to my bias 😂😂but Namjoon always wrecks me. Korean beauty standards suck. All of namjoon albums are the best of the best. My fav album is Indigo. No skips
