Here is the second illustration in the series of vellum overlays for Yearning For Her, featuring Kian making his offer to Willow at the end of chapter 2. I love how soft and enticing Fremuard made this scene. How Kian is coaxing Willow with touch and words to give in to what she really wants.

Scene Snippet:

Kian lifted his hand from the railing and turned his body toward her. His finger hooked under her chin, and the tip of his pointed nail rasped along the underside of her jaw. “Let me help you forget him, if only for tonight. I’ll leave room for nothing but pleasure.” He bent forward until their noses were nearly touching. “Let me take away the pain.”

Willow searched his eyes. This close, she could see glitter-like specks of color in them, sparkling blues and silver. They were so beautiful, so mesmerizing…

Let me take away the pain.

She pressed her lips together against the rush of hurt that threatened to resurface—Eli’s lies, his secrets, his betrayal.

Let me take away the pain.

Willow didn’t want to think about Eli, didn’t want to think about what had happened or what he had done. She didn’t want to think about how her hopes for a shared future had been dashed so abruptly. She didn’t want to feel this way anymore.

She just wanted to…forget. If only for tonight.

Then give in, Willow. A night of pleasure, no strings attached. A night for…yourself.

Willow drew in a shaky breath. Reaching up, she closed her fingers around Kian’s wrist and nodded. “Yes.”
