Helping Hands - Meet Riley's Parents
Added 2024-01-24 17:53:57 +0000 UTCRiley's parents have made guest appearances on our channel before, from the DIY Sidecar and Firewood Processor to Riley's recent shenanigans in this Short with the Mall Train. Years ago when we filmed our Army Truck Road Trip, Riley's mom helped out by driving in the chase car with Boone and Bailey.
Riley credits his passion to building cool stuff to his parents. As a kid they provided him with space, time, and materials to experiment. Riley's first big vehicle project was restoring a Ford GPW with his dad. We've included some photos from the vault of Riley working on the project. The GPW is still going strong today!
Last year, Riley's parents retired and moved up to North Idaho full time where they are busy with their own projects and finding plenty of time to mountain bike, ski, and babysit Oliver. Wish them luck as they survive their first snowy winter!

2024-01-27 20:57:35 +0000 UTCThe "Jeep" I drove in Vietnam was actually made by Ford Motor Company, so maybe it was officially a GPW. It was like a slow sports car. I had to take our mascot, War Dog to the US Army Veterinarian, as Ward was an official mascot, complete with real US Army Dog Tag. Wishing you all the very best. So important parents let their young people develop their talents and passions. Well done, Riley's mom and dad! (Courtney's must have been amazing, too.)
