In Sunday's video we installed new Bilstein remote reservoir bypass shocks on Courtney's Lexus and it made us feel a little nostalgic for our roots. Here's a short rock crawl down Memory Lane:
We met in our college off road club and loved going on camping trips to California's best rock crawling spots: Fordyce, The Rubicon, and Johnson Valley. These first two photos are from trips to Johnson Valley. You can see that the roll cage worked! Our dog Boone's name is taken from the road leading in Johnson Valley, it's a special place for us.
After college, we started a business together called Trail Tested Manufacturing and continued to work on offroad vehicles and van builds. With Trail Tested, we strengthened our working relationship and learned what was possible for the two of us to do as long as we did it together. We adopted Bailey as a puppy and included a photo of her hard at work in the shop with us.
One very special project for us was our 1969 Jeep Wagoneer. Over the course of a few months it got a LS swap, one ton axles, rear cantilevered suspension and much more. The last two photos are of the Wagoneer, one in the process and one the final product.
Working on vehicles together created the foundation of our working relationship. It is NOT always easy, but the end results always make the journey worth it. Even small upgrades like the ones in Sunday's video remind us of how grateful we are to have our shop and how lucky we are to get to work on projects together.
