Yeah this is where Jimmy really makes his choice. It's one thing being Saul Goodman the sleazy lawyer for criminals. But this is his first step toward being the criminal lawyer we know him to be. His look back to Fred's family when he says "how can you possibly see fit to separate this beautiful... family" shows that he really isn't enjoying what he's doing, but he's ploughing on; some part in fear of Lalo, but as we know, Jimmy is very deeply motivated by money and even after telling Kim that his client is a cartel guy, they still started looking at expensive ranches somewhere that one presumably couldn't afford on legitimate income... They are a toxic influence on each other, though they do love each other. I think they would've wanted to marry anyway, they just came up with this "legalistic reasoning" to justify it to themselves. But to go back to Jimmy... That first moral deviation is always the hardest. From there, they get easier and easier... It is really clever how they had Mike come up with an elaborate scheme to get Lalo arrested only to use the exact same scheme to have him released lol. They just need him out of the picture. In case you were confused, Santiago (while also a name) is the capital of Chile, where Gus is from. After WW2, a lot of high up Nazi officials fled to South America. It is likely that Peter (who you may remember from his one (very brief) appearance in Breaking Bad after Gus' death!) is a descendent of that and worked alongside Gus in the Fascist Pinnochet regime. This is all theory though, it's not said outright what the connection is between Gus & Germany. And then there's the Howard outburst... The temerity of Jimmy to tell Howard that he killed Chuck when Jimmy knows he's the one who started that particular spiral. And talk about mentally unstable... Jimmy isn't okay

The cinematography is getting crazy good. Story time with Kaylee is so magically lit. The love scene between Kim and Jimmy is gorgeous and romantic. Every scene is so rich. The visual style is what impresses me the most from here until the end.

N.T. Stars

Gus: "The fire and destruction of the restaurant must appear to be a hostile, vindictive act" Also Gus: *rotates frozen turkey tray 90 degrees* Man, a friend of the cartel. Scary. Risky. But the potential upside! The ends must justify the means, right? I hope there aren't any unintended consequences.

At this point, I think it's safe to start cutting Howard a little slack ๐Ÿ˜†

Yeah, Gus definitely needed some of those higher-up connections at Madrigal to pull this off. The guy he was meeting with in the hotel was Peter Schuler, the guy who killed himself with the AED in BB season 5 when the police came to question him after Gus died.
