Wanda's powers have varied a lot over the years in the comics, and are often quite different than how they've been portrayed in the MCU. But her abilities first appeared in the comics as a "hex" power that could affect probabilities for a positive benefit to her, or a negative benefit to her enemies. The shape around Westview is a hexagon.

2026-01-25 17:41:27 +0000 UTCThe penny drops. As a cosmology nerd from the age of 10, any time a television show mentioned the Cosmic Microwave Background, my little heart would flutter. It wouldn't even matter what the context was, I would just be so happy that it was becoming mainstream to think about, ever since Stargate Universe. Obviously, we didn't really learn much about it until David Spergel developed the W-Map satellite, but it was much theorized before that point in time. The fact that they managed to weave that into the depths of Wanda's powers just gives me the most enormous nerdgasms!
