Omg, I am sooooo happy you all voted for us to watch this one, because wow... everything about it was just perfect. And Matt Damon is beyond good in it. This is definitely the kind of movie you want to have on your shelf so you can watch it like every year haha

It's clever, it's very funny, and it's something I read at least once a year. I'd actually recommend getting the audiobook of it. The current release is narrated by Wil Wheaton, and he's got the nerd cred to make the book work well. It's not super long, and it's amazing.

If you’re looking for a good book recommendation, besides The Martian, Project Hail Mary is by the same author and I liked it even more than The Martian. The basic premise is an astronaut wakes up alone in a spaceship with amnesia and has to figure out what his mission is and how to survive.
