Added 2025-05-28 03:13:31 +0000 UTCEvening everyone!
Last week's War Movie poll winner was Black Hawk Down. It sounds like Platoon has a lot of love too, so we'll definitely be throwing it on another war movie poll in the future.
Sci-fi won our latest movie genre poll, so... we're going to pick a sci-fi movie to watch that is from the decade that wins this poll! Remember to leave us your recommendations in the comments below, as we always consider those when picking the movie!

100%....they need to view this film! It is gripping and mesmerizing at times with its stunnning visuals. I'd say more about what I enjoyed about the film, but then I'll hit spoilers.

In 1992, an alternate version titled "The Abyss - Special Edition" was released, with 28 minutes of new material. https://www.amazon.com/Abyss-Special-Ed-Harris/dp/B0CGPJFHW5 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/the-abyss-special-edition-bonus-content/8d6kgwxxvwjr Forgotten masterpiece from iconic director branded his 'best film ever' lands on Netflix. The Abyss, which originally hit cinemas in 1989, has been branded by some viewers as the director’s best-ever film. Even back then this film portrays a world being devastated by climate change, its oceans polluted with waste; overpopulation and overuse of resources lead to shortages of food and water; housing prices skyrocket to the point only the elite can afford apartments. And the horrific twist no one expected! Even if it never wins a Poll, you gotta watch it.
