Chimp with a machine gun was so hurtful and yet he did become that in BB.

I just noticed something did Jimmy leave his shoes at the bench or he walked to the bench with out on the hot New Mexico pavement π₯. To go from it was so nice to see the brothers helping and working with each other to this level of animosity is so heart breaking, and Jimmy holding back the emotion. Jimmy keeps trying to find that righteous path. And Kimβs wet eyes during her friendly recommendation was hard too, great acting all around.

This is a great episode.
Jimmy certainly has gone straight compared to his conman days, but here is a reminder of - in just the first 7 episodes, what Jimmy, a lawyer, has done:
-Tried to frame a potential client into a fault-car accident to manipulate them into being his client.
-Accepted a bribe out of stolen public funds.
-Deliberately infringed on HHM copyright for a PR campaign.
-Aided Mike in stealing a detective's notebook.
-Hired Mike to break in to his client's home.
The last two episodes, Jimmy has been doing purely honest legal work, and we can understand his motives for why he'd do the things listed above. As Kim said, he definitely is a good lawyer, but being a lawyer gives you power & therefore responsibilities. Can you imagine Chuck, a very good & by-the-book lawyer, doing any of those things?
But then there's also the question... would Jimmy have done any of those things if Chuck had taken him in when he passed the bar & mentored him?
In the show, Jimmy is meant to be 41. Chuck brought him to ABQ in 1992 so he would've been 31/32. Definitely later than most for making a fresh start. And this is where we start to see this dilemma come in. Is Chuck right? Is Slippin' Jimmy inevitable (we know where he ends up) or did Chuck's refusal to accept his willingness to change lead him down that road?
There is also definitely an elitist bent to Chuck's rant too, criticising his schooling etc which is totally uncalled for as passing the bar is passing the bar no matter where you study.
This show just got so much heavier and so much better! I reckon you'll be debating between yourselves constantly throughout. :D :D

I'd like to point out that the great, dramatic scene between brothers was pulled off by two actors whose careers were 99% goofy comedies.
