2025-03-29 19:45:55 +0000 UTCOkay sooo hereâs a theory I heard and loveddddd: Bran might actually be the Lord of Light (or at least the force people think is the Lord of Light). And once you walk through the events chronologically⌠it actually kind of makes sense? Letâs go back: Season 1: Bran is pushed from the tower and later almost assassinated with the dagger. This sets everything in motion. What if future-Bran made sure that dagger made its way to his childhood selfâso that decades of events would unfold and the dagger would eventually end up with Arya, at the exact moment she needs it to kill the Night King? That means Bran put the key piece on the board early. (Some even theorize he warged into Summer to stop the assassin himself.) Then: the dagger causes chaos. Catelyn blames Tyrion, which leads to his capture, Ned heading south, and ultimately King Robertâs death. All this pushes Arya into a path of exile and trainingâturning her into the assassin Bran will later need. Fast forward: Beric Dondarrion dies over and over. But what if itâs not just Thoros bringing him back? GRRM once described Beric as a âfire wightââa dead man animated by fire, not ice. If the Night King brings back the dead to serve him, who brings back Beric and the others? Bran? Because in the end, Beric sacrifices himself to save Arya during the Battle of Winterfell. His only real purpose was to keep her alive⌠so she could kill the Night King. The Hound: Nearly dies multiple times, even gets left for dead. But he survives and ends up protecting Arya when it matters most. Septon Ray even tells him he âthought he was a corpse.â Another pawn moved into position? Jon Snow: Melisandre tries to revive him, and it doesnât seem to work at first. She even gives up. Thenâbamâhe wakes up. Could Bran have stepped in here, too? Jon becomes a key player in the war against the Night King and helps get Arya into position. The trench fire: Melisandre is visibly panicking when her spell isnât working. But then it suddenly ignitesâmassive flames. Bran, not Melisandre, may have been the one to summon it. Varys: Hears a voice in the flames after being cutâforeshadowing his belief in a greater power. What if that voice was Bran, nudging Varys to play his role until his end? And finally: Bran gives Arya the dagger and literally offers himself as bait. He sits in that weirwood grove, knowing exactly whatâs coming. Every move he madeâpast and presentâled Arya to that one moment. So if the Night King is death, ice, and darkness⌠Bran is his opposite. Life. Fire. Light. The Night King raises wights for evil. Bran resurrects people (Beric, Jon?) for good. The Night King controls the dead through ice. Bran controls the living through time. Maybe all those âLord of Lightâ miracles werenât from some unknown god, but from Bran manipulating events behind the scenes, using his powers to steer the story toward the only outcome where the realm survives. It explains why the 3-Eyed Raven has always been the Night Kingâs adversary. Why the Night King went straight for Bran. Why the show constantly hinted at dualityâice and fire, light and dark. And if Bran isnât the Lord of Light himself, he might at least be the conscious vessel or embodiment of that force. The last flame in the war for the dawn. Anyway, I canât stop thinking about it. Let me know if yâall have heard this one or if it totally blew your mind too.

2025-03-29 04:36:00 +0000 UTCit was great to watch this again along with you two...For the most part a lot of the characters we love got happy endings, I think the only one I would've liked to see is Jamie stay in Winterfell but honestly that wasn't the character. Deep down his love for Cersei is was too much. He always said he wanted to die in the arms of the woman he loved, so I guess for him it was a happy ending. And I suppose Jon and Dany ruling together would be too perfect and this is Game of Thrones after all..... Can't wait to see what you guys think of House of the Dragon. Also the other prequel is about Maester Aemon's little brother Egg when he was a boy. So it takes place not so long ago which is cool. House of the Dragon is the one that is 100 years before GoT.

This is the first time I have rewatched seasons 7 and 8 and I can honestly say, that I have enjoyed them much better now, than the first time I'd seen them. Yes, there are some glaring issues, laughable moments, the writing is extremely rushed and the second half of season 8 probably should have been its own full season, but I think large part of the hate the last season got was caused by the absurdly high expectations, hype and years of theories, that could never have been fulfilled. I want to thank you both for sharing this journey, i'd been watching every friday since the beginning of season two and it's been such a part of my routine, coming home from work (it's 6 pm where I live, when you upload your videos), opening a couple of beers and watching GoT with the two of you. It feels a bit wierd writing this to two complete strangers living on the other side of the world, but...here we are, lol. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next adventure, whatever it may be!
