Imo....this is slightly better writing with slightly better character depth than Breaking Bad.

To give you an idea of where we are timeline wise the Breaking Bad Pilot episode starts with Walt's 50th Birthday which was on 7th September 2008 and Walt died in the finale on his 52nd birthday in 2010. This first episode really does throw you in to the lives of the characters and I love it. They don't over-exposit who everyone is and what's going on in their lives in the first episode. They leave an element of mystery to the characters we've met just in this first episode. Very excited to watch the rest of this with you guys

2025-03-26 18:15:17 +0000 UTC"Always nervous about a prequel, because we know Saul survives and we know Mike survives" - honestly this show is utter genius how they actually make it so the fact you DO know the future *adds* extra tension instead of taking it away, its pretty incredible. :D you'll come to understand! This show is great on its own terms but the fact its a prequel adds SO much to the experience. Am usually a skeptic about prequels and was apprehensive about this but its more Breaking Bad genius
