I have the audiobooks but waiting for the right moment to start listening to them. The right moment being ... after at least 1 more run of watching the tv-series. I understand they changed (for practical reasons) a few things and that might get confusing.

I always wondered why Dany was so insistent that Jon bend the knee. I thought it was just her being stubborn (last season she admitted to considering letting the Iron Islands be independent when she allied w Yara and Theon). But Jordan pointed right away what never dawned on my for years. If the North won’t bend the knee, then why would any of the smaller kingdoms? Makes perfect sense.

Totally forgot this has the scene when Arya spars with Brienne! One of my favorite scenes!!! “Who taught you how to do that?” “No One” 😉

So if it was even approved and recommended by Sharin Baratheon (references: Daughter of Stannis Baratheon, bookworm and mentor to Ser Davos, whom she taught to read), then it can only be good. :-)
