One or two people have said the same thing, but I’ve never been able to diagnose why. What I do know is that these people tend to have better outcomes when they copy the url into a web browser directly.

2025-06-05 18:21:01 +0000 UTCThe premise was that the heat is a part of the fire ants' even after it radiates away from their bodies and effects their surroundings, because they are elementals, and the heat is part of their spiritual/magical makeup. I'll take another look at that paragraph, to see if I can't make it more convincing and thorough.

2025-06-05 15:44:58 +0000 UTCNot a bad plan superficially, except for a few things that Harry knows and or has caught on to. 1) Harry learned a few chapters back that Demon Chimera are somewhat intelligent, have motives of their own, and like to fuck with wizards whenever possible, which means its unlikely to get distracted by the Anthilla Queen. 2) The completely blind sand snake knew where Harry was at all times, the Accrumantulas were unusually coordinated and aggressive towards him, and the Anthilla Queen is currently trying to knock over the ruins in her desire to get to him, which is also extremely unusual. With all that being the case, Harry has reason to believe that every beast within the Task is solely focused upon him alone, which is why he doesn't relish the idea of being ganged up on. I think I might add a paragraph to the end of this chapter to make Harry's motives clear. On a side note, I dislike cliffhangers as well, but this Task was going to make the chapter 2.5 times longer than usual, so I had no choice.

2025-06-05 15:34:18 +0000 UTCAlso, while Harry can't siphon the energy off the living fire ants, why can't he absorb the heat that was transferred into the structure that is now an oven. The heated air and walls are not part of the fire ants fire.
