Honestly, Skyler has been in the game for a while. Her not wanting to out herself makes perfect sense. In the real world it doesn't matter if a DEA agent vouches for you. If the prosecutor decides you are going down, that's what's going to happen. Hank being her brother in law does muddy the situation and makes you wish she could trust him and follow his advice.

He has no regard for Skyler, Walt Jr. or Holly & Marie trying to take baby Holly- her kleptomania has no bounds... It's ironic because Skyler would hold Marie accountable for any wrong doing in season 1 and now Skyler's laundering money for a meth empire. Now Marie's the voice of reason- how the turntables. It's amazing how Skyler was wishing for the cancer to return, but when she found out it did from Walt after he collapsed, she had a delicate change of heart. This show is so true to life. When put in the face of impossible situations we often act out differently then how we imagined we would. Fun fact the coordinates for Walt's money are the real life coordinates to ABQ studios, where the show was produced. They didn't want fans digging holes in the desert looking for Easter eggs and whatnot. The last number of the coordinates is 52... Also Lydia's red bottom heels are a nod to the blood on her hands ...or feet.

Unfortunately all this is happening right after Walt quit, as far as she knows he got out clean and she was starting to believe him that they could just put it all behind them, go back to living a normal life and enjoy the money without anyone having to know.
