80's/90's Sci-fi Movies Poll!

Hey everyone! Last week we did a movie genre poll and the top 3 voted for were Sci-fi, Comedy, and Thriller. So that means our next few polls will be focused around those genres.

This week we're kicking it off with a Sci-fi poll! These were all suggested by you, so we're excited to see what you want to watch with us the most.
Happy voting!

Oh man I hope The Rocketeer wins.

Alex

man I can't choose but one has Jennifer Connelly

Hans Engelen

I loved that movie growing up and you're right, I don't think I've seen anyone react to that

Guy-on-Couch

Guy-on-Couch

Guy-on-Couch

Dating myself a bit, but that was the first movie I saw in theaters that moved me to tears.

Simone's Coconut Squire

For the comedy poll, I have to recommend 40 Year Old Virgin.. personally, it’s my favorite comedy

Derwin Riley

Just kick me in the crotch making me choose one of these amazing movies over the other. Nice to see the Rocketeer getting some love after its initial chilly reception. I always liked that one. The only way this list could get any better is if you added the oft overlooked River Phoenix/Ethan Hawke masterpiece “Explorers”.

Simone's Coconut Squire

Oh wow, this is a large part of my childhood of a list. I can't in good conscience choose one. They are all masterpieces in my heart. So I will only suggest that you watch all of them at some point in the future, and that you watch them in a slightly amended release order of The Rocketeer '91, The Last Starfighter '84, Flight of the Navigator '86, and *batteries not included '87. ( My logic being Rocketeer is WW2 so it feels like it should be first, then you are moving through special effects getting better with release date order. Though in regard to SFX I might switch *batteries and Flight as Flight's effects are very good, I also put *batteries last as it might have the most emotional reaction to new parents. )

I loved that movie

Happy New Year! A tough choice, but I think Rocketeer edges it out. One of the many pulp era comic films that came out in the early to mid-90s. I would also suggest Dick Tracy, The Phantom, and The Shadow. A fun time in comic film history.

Noah Vogt

This poll really is a hard choice, but no bad choices. Surprised to see Batteries Not Included to be sure, no one really seems to care about that flick these days.
