Oh yeah, I'm actually sooo happy getting to watch all these movies and shows for the first time now. I don't know if I would have really appreciated them when I was younger. Haha we always appreciate recommendations!

Loads of us probably wish we could watch some of this stuff for the first time again -- probably the appeal of this whole reaction thing after all. And my bad, I thought you were way further along in BrBa (read 5x04 as 5x14). Riding that high for a little while longer before it really is just GoT which is nice. I'm a bit of a fairweather watcher there, just watch the hits when you get to 'em on these cultural hallmark shows since I've seen 'em probably more than once and let the series really marinate as they were airing. If I may again selfishly throw two short-ish series at you for the dartboard of consideration: -Dark Angel (1999, Alba, James Cameron, sweet post-cyberpunk aesthetic, and the soundtrack is done by Chuck D from Public Enemy) -Utopia (2013, 12 episodes total or so, UK version, outstanding color grading/cinematography, and a haunting level of storytelling).

And we haven't fully decided what to pick up next when both series are done... definitely something that's been recommended by everyone here on Patreon though. The problem is that there's just so many great sounding series to choose from!

2024-12-11 23:47:07 +0000 UTCWas gonna say you two were plowing through these and almost on my favorite episode, but I guess I misremebered the order because it's the last unaired episode (Heart of Gold) and not the first. Remember downloading the UK aired only episodes the summer after they canceled the series on I think some random DCC bot on some long dead IRC network or maybe from a newsgroup. Good times, that summer. Best season of Stargate SG-1 was airing, Firefly unaired episodes were getting dropped online, and we'd just heard about the Germans getting some money together to make a miniseries for Farscape that just got canceled back in March. Also heard Showtime was bringing back Odyssey 5 (nope) and gearing up for a new series since SciFi did so well with their show SG-1 (also nope). We also heard that Jerry O'Connell was gonna bring back Sliders for real this time with the original cast...totally. Something, something someone was going to make anime real or something. Empty suits at Fox and the other studios in the early 2000s were the worst. You two had a think on what you're gonna watch next since you're down to just GoT (?) after these last four episodes?
