Love how you have managed to avoid spoilers. Hope you can keep that going through the end of BCS. This is my 3rd or 4th trip through BB and I dislike Walt more each time.

I love the shift between Jessie and Walt. When jessie first became Walt's partner under Gus, Jessie was complaining about the money and walt was being the smart one. Now Walt's being the immature one.

In an interview Jesse Plemons said the only information on Todd he was given prior to shooting was from a writer who told him: "you know when you're driving & a deer pops out on the road in front you- do you swerve into the oncoming car on the left or do you go right and crash into the ditch? You hit the deer".

I know how important and expensive hair is on a set. Super pro's doing their darndest to make it right. Then I think about Walt, and Jesse, and Mike, and Gus, and Victor, and Hank, and Cyrus, and the murder Twins, and Huell, now Ted, and Tuco, and Tio, and some others. This is the baldest show that's ever balded.

The insight into 'he's always been like this' is a good one I think and pretty impressive to spot during first watch! That's how I come to think of it, he was just too timid and scared for his true nature to exert itself - on a rewatch you actually see how abusive and nasty to Jesse he is almost all the time, even timid 'lovely' Walt shouting at Jesse calling him a moron, degrading him and putting him down all the time and stuff.
We laugh first time around because its kinda played that way but taking a step back and looking at Walt's behaviour even in S1 towards Jesse it was kinda abusive and cruel.

Putting aside all the ethics o the situation, I don't think Walt is being greedy when it comes to the legacy costs thing. True those guys keeping silent would in the end be potentially beneficial to him, he's right that all the stuff about the previous arrangement being with Gus and its ongoing fixes being a Mike problem, not his.
