Whoooooa!! I didn't notice that!

Chandra

Don’t know if you realize Walt taking on personalities of past victims or colleagues. Eats his sandwiches like Krazy8 with crust cut off. Drinking neat whiskey like Mike. Now he’s trying to act like Gus.

This episode made me feel so bad for Mike, he is always getting screwed. Man just wants to go to work and have no issues. Great video and I do think the thing that most people will be wondering after this episode is indeed...What about the Franch?!

Ian A

That's very true... I often forget that because we don't see his family as often

Chandra

Mike is a bag guy too, putting his family at risk being in this business etc. He doesn't get a pass.

Well he blew up a man's car simply for being a jerk in episode 4 🤣🤣 And in the very first episode he assaults a (probable) teenager for mocking his son aha, not to mention then blackmailing Jesse. The main thing is that he's always been very prideful but never really had an avenue in which to unleash his pride. He was clearly ambitious as a young man, doing work that contributed to a Nobel Prize. We even got a taste of his ambition in the S3 finale when they were looking at buying the house just pre-Walter Jr. But since having a disabled child, I imagine he had to put that to the side. Then came his diagnosis and I think it was just a perfect storm. It gets quick money, it's his passion & it's an opportunity for him to make a name for himself. All 3 of his problems in life solved.

Very well put... I'm so curious to go back and watch the earlier seasons now to see what Walt was like, and see the sorts of things he did then that we just forgave right away.

Jordan has been a little bit of a comedian this episode. nice....by the way...you will get a giant background into Mikes life in Better Call Saul.

I think Walt's villainy was always in the subtext, but now it's explicit. He's done some truly villainous stuff, but perhaps the story always found a way to slightly justify it; whereas now he's full time egomaniac. That last scene is truly horrific. Cranston's deep voice is so unsettling, same as how he was with Saul last episode. So not only did they do the magnet heist for no reason as the laptop was encrypted, but that's what revealed the offshore account details written on the inside of the photo frame! That's how the DEA found the accounts for Mike & his guys. Mike losing the money he'd been saving for his granddaughter is why he ended up getting back in with Walt & Jesse, plus a bit of compassion for Lydia's daughter too I think.
