Holiday movie suggestions poll!
Added 2024-10-09 19:56:22 +0000 UTCHi Everyone!
First off, we're so sorry this poll is a whole day late! Tuesdays are poll day, and we're going to try our absolute best to stick to that.
Okay, so last week's poll winner was Godzilla Minus One, which we're both super excited to see! This week we're doing another one of our classic movie suggestion polls!
With Canadian Thanksgiving right around the corner we're wanting to see what your favourite holiday movies are. So in the comments below, let us know a couple of your top Thanksgiving or Christmas movies. Once the poll is over, we'll go through and pick out one to watch. And we use all your suggestions in future polls too! As always, thank you for your suggestions! We couldn't do this without you ❤️❤️❤️

2024-10-10 22:28:37 +0000 UTCFor Thanksgiving, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" is the obvious choice. For Halloween, "Arsenic and Old Lace" would be very fitting, and of course for Christmas "It's a Wonderful Life", both directed by Frank Capra. "A Shop around the Corner" by Ernst Lubitsch, and "The Apartment" by Billy Wilder are also great movies set around Christmas. Oh, and how could I forget "We're No Angels" by Michael Curtiz.

2024-10-10 02:55:57 +0000 UTCWhile I kind of get what you're going for with Life of Brian, I can't agree it's a Christmas movie. If this were somehow an Easter poll, it'd definitely have my vote though.

2024-10-09 20:31:49 +0000 UTCFrom the 1940s, “Miracle on 34th Street” and, with Christmas/New Years themes, “Bachelor Mother,” which is a little known comic gem. More recently, “The Family Stone.”

2024-10-09 20:17:15 +0000 UTCI don't immediately recall what's on the channel but the top of my list? Planes, Trains and Automobiles(1987) and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation(1989) Others on the list: Grumpy Old Men(1993), Bad Santa(2003), Trapped in Paradise(1994), The Hebrew Hammer(2003), Edward Scissorhands(1990) and Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe(2005)

2024-10-09 20:08:48 +0000 UTCSince you do both movies and TV shows, I'd like to suggest something a little different. Rather than a movie, I'd like to see you react to maybe 3 or so of the classic holiday specials, like A Charlie Brown Christmas, the Rankin-Bass stuff, etc if you haven't seen all of those.
Kenton Kruger
2024-10-09 20:04:41 +0000 UTCA Miracle on 34th Street would be a good one 🫶🏻
