Hey guys…a little late to the party, but yes, the scholarship was indeed named after Maximino Arciniega, Gus’ business partner who was shot by Hector. It is inferred that Max was also Gus’ “partner”, which explains why Gus hates Hector even more . Another fun fact: Breaking Bad uses their actors and crew’s last names or sometimes full names for their character names. Hector was played by Mark Margolis. Jane’s last name (and her Father) was Margolis. The actor who played Krazy 8 is named Max Arciniega. There are some more I believe, but I can’t recall at the moment

That Episode is also considered to be one of the best television episodes of 2011. Can‘t wait for you guys to see it 😀
