Added 2024-02-14 04:20:38 +0000 UTCHappy Tuesday everyone! Okay, last poll winner was Alien! Thank you all so much for voting! We'll be releasing it right after Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Now for this week! This poll is going to be a bit less specific, because we want to get a good feel for what movie decades you all love most! So vote on which decade you want us to pick a movie from, and then in the comments below please feel free to leave suggestions for movies you like from the decade you chose!

Oooo I love this! So many movies that I've either never heard of, or that I know are incredibly famous! Thank you for the suggestions!!

2024-02-14 19:54:22 +0000 UTCThe 80s and 90s both have fantastic movies, but I voted for the pre-1980 era since it's so often overlooked. There are just so many amazing stars, directors, and films from this era. Just a few examples: City Lights (1930s, Chaplin's most beloved film) Only Angels Have Wings (1930s Top Gun, but much better) Casablanca (40s, peak Golden Age Hollywood) Singin' in the Rain (50s, most entertaining movie ever?) The Big Heat (50s, film noir Lethal Weapon) The Hustler (60s, kicks off Paul Newman's amazing run) 2001: A Space Odyssey (60s, many critics' #1 choice, still amazing) The Godfather (70s, public's choice as best ever?) Barry Lyndon (70s, most beautifully shot film ever?) I understand why most chose the 80s and 90s, but it would be nice to throw in some pre-Star Wars stuff from time to time. Gives a well-rounded perspective on how the medium has evolved.
