Pretty much everybody struggles to remember all the names and alliances and whatnot when they first start watching. I remember when the series originally aired, the internet was full of charts and guides about who was who, how they were related, which houses were which, who they were aligned with, what they were up to, etc. because people struggled so much to keep it all straight. Even though the show does a pretty decent job of rolling it all out in chunks, it's still a lot and way more to keep track of than in most shows. All that being said, you're already doing better with the names than I did when I watched the first season. Btw, as you mentioned either in this intro or the previous one, I am sort of watching GoT again. When it first aired, my gf-at-the-time and I watched the first 5 or 6 seasons but then, for some reason, we never finished it (we might've broken up during that time and then I just never got back to the show; I don't remember). So, firstly, I'm having fun rewatching the seasons I saw back then but with more knowledge about the world, factions, and characters. It's allowing me to pick up on more subtleties than I did the first time. And, while I remember many of the bigger arcs and moments, there's a lot of stuff that I'd forgotten, so it's fun to refresh all that. Secondly, I'm looking forward to actually finishing the series this time. And it'll be especially cool because by the time we reach the last few seasons, it'll be as new for me as it is for you and we can enjoy it for the first time together.
