GOOEYCANDY Newsletter & Updates! 💪🏼 [JULY2025 - Issue #14]: "Full Frontal Flex"

Welcome back for another Gooeycandy Newsletter, where you get up to date with ALL things gooeycandy! Let's dive right in!

🎨 Art & Project Progress:

Got some good progress in on the Doug/Monster Prom piece! It's so cool being able to work on this grand piece without the fear of not finishing by the end of the month! It has really let me take my time and make sure all the details come out perfect! Here's where it's at so far! Still a ways to go but WOW this piece is gonna be SO COOL when it's complete! Critiques and ideas are always welcome! Remember, I'm making these pieces for you guys! ♥

When I'm not working on that piece, I've been putting some work into my OC bios. Right now I'm finishing up Flex's full sprite art. Still designing what Honey's body and outfit will look like. I'm not great at designing character outfits, cause in real life I have no sense of fashion haha. So that's what slows me down the most.

The short guy in the middle of the two is the first sketch of new OC Stiff Hardon (pronounced "harden", get your head out of the gutter...lmao). He's the CEO of PittCo's main competitor, and therefore sworn rivals with Flex's dad, Mr. Pitt. He's been a doodle in my sketchbook for years now, so it's exciting to finally start to polish him up a bit.

For now my goal is to fully complete 4 character bios. As of right now, Candy (duh) & Flex will be the first 2, but I haven't decided the last 2 spots. I'm going for variety so Corey, Honey, Foster and Mr. Pitt will have to wait a bit. ANYWAY, enough ranting about my OCs, lol.

• Guzma's Tan: I finally uploaded the art for the Guzma trading card! If you haven't seen it, go check it out!

• Hands On! Progress: Making progress on the design document for the first installment for now. After the first game is complete, theoretically future installations will be much quicker, since we won't have to redo things like UI and main mechanics over again!

I have so many huge nsfw artist inspos, but did you know my biggest art inspo growing up was gigidigi? Her colors are what I strive to achieve someday!

Went back home to visit family, and then my sister came to visit me, so I've been feeling really happy n loved this month! We went to a waterpark and ate at a ton of restaurants, and I basically did my whole summer of fun this week haha. And now I've been so excited to work, I basically hop out of bed and grab my iPad! Good things ahead I can feel it!

⚽ Now to Gooey with Sports: Dodgeball starts today (I'm writing this yesterday) SO we're back in the FRAY. I know quite a few people on my team, so it should be a really fun season!! I'll keep y'all posted!

🎥 NOW WATCHING: Love Island

SPOILERS AHEAD!! Don't read if not caught up!

Love Island: Sorry for being brain-rotted by reality TV but... AMAYA PAPAYA!!!!!!! I hope their feelings are real, I've never seen someone on reality TV that feels truly so genuine. A real breath of fresh air and I can only dream of having her level of whimsy and joy for life. Queen.
