GOOEYCANDY Newsletter & Updates! 👹 [JUNE2025 - Issue #11]: "Monster Frat House"

Welcome back for another Gooeycandy Newsletter, where you get up to date with ALL things gooeycandy! Let's dive right in!

This is it! The FINAL newsletter before this convention. Thanks so much for being patient with this. I think this has been a lesson to me that conventions (especially ones out of the country) are HARD HARD WORK.

ANYWAY, you better believe I'm HYPE to start working on other things and I'm bursting at the seams with ideas!!

🎨 Art & Project Progress:

• Doug/Monster Prom Illustration Progress! I really wanted to go all out since this is technically the first "Patreon Piece" since my new Patreon format! So, Doug invited 6 of his Monster bros along for a frat party!! 😎

  

  Here’s a little progress GIF to show how it’s coming along! Feel free to give me constructive criticism! 💚 As I'm sure you all know I love an "ensemble" piece so I'm working hard to make this one amazing! Got some favorites who have been in past polls and never won (Damien and Stu) plus some returning fan favs (Scott, my beloved)!

  Be sure to get creative and suggest alts to your hearts content, I'm gonna try to do several for this piece, to really make it worth the wait! And the alts are gonna be locked to patrons-only! 😉

• In Case You Missed It!: I reworked this old Ganondorf piece since I didn't really like how it used to look. I still might polish it up a biiiiit more, but I plan to make it into a print soon! So look forward to that!

Life has been a whirlwind. I went across the country to a beautiful wedding, had a lovely day at the beach flying kites, and have been insanely productive. My brain is still zombie juice, but I'm not letting that slow me down!!!

There’s a lot of personal life stuff happening with me right now, and sharing art and ideas with you all keeps me sane. So as always, thank you for hanging out 💖

⚽ Now to Gooey with Sports: No sports at the moment! Gonna try to be in Kickball and Dodgeball next season!

🎥 NOW WATCHING: Survivor, Hacks, RPDR5

SPOILERS AHEAD!! Don't read if not caught up!

Survivor: 2nd best outcome for this season in my opinion! Really wanted that Kamilla win, but Kyle deserved it too! Congrats to him!! This cast list for 50....is kinda funky. They casted a lot of like...meme players? I'm not mad I love seeing people get a proper second shot, I'm just really hoping the can BRING IT! What do you think?

Hacks: That 2nd to last episode was a perfect episode of television. I don't really know how I felt about the finale tho, it low key felt like a filler lol. BUT, love this show and I know it's gonna BRING IT in it's final season, so I'm HYPE. Just happy they didn't actually kill off Deborah lol.

RPDR Season 5: The snatch game was rigged I'm sorry "big can of soup" for an answer killed me. Also mad that Ru talked Lineysha out of being Michelle Obama because Michelle with a thick Hispanic accent would've taken me out. This season is really fucking quotable wow.
