GOOEYCANDY Newsletter & Updates! 🐰 [APRIL2025 - Issue #08]: "Easter? I Hardly Know Her"

Welcome back for another Gooeycandy Newsletter, where you get up to date with ALL things gooeycandy! Let's dive right in!

I’m In crunch time for this convention so a lot of my work has been cutting additional prints and cards to have inventory 😥 But there's some cool behind the curtain stuff you guys might enjoy this week!

🎨 Art & Project Progress:

• Guzma & Horny Pin Manufacturer Guidelines: Here's a peek at how I present pin designs to manufacturers. Choosing appropriate Pantone colors is a pain in the ass! These are nearly ready to send off, so expect these designs to launch in a month or so!

  

• NICE COCK! Finalized Design: These have already been sent off to manufacture! I'm really excited to see how they turn out!!!!

  

• Milo Card: It's finally in the works! Still just a sketch, but that's usually the hardest part. I want to have this done by end of May the latest so I can have it available at the convention!

  

• Project "BRO": Nothing new to share this week as I've been swamped with convention prep. Sorry, you'll have to wait a bit longer for a proper reveal.

• Hands On! Progress: You know the drill, Hands On! progress will slow until I can find a new programmer.

  If you know anyone who is skilled at Unity/working with 2D assets and may be interested, send them this application please!! I’ll likely be reaching out soon!

🔎 Current Focuses: 

• Barapalooza (the Mexico City convention I will be attending in June) is my current main priority. Here's a very tiny sneak peek at a piece that was made specially for the convention! (Don't worry, after the convention it will be available here!)

Mental health still.... not great... but I'm still looking on the bright side of things!!!

Been SO consistent with the gym lately. Maybe I'm crazy but I'm already starting to see a bit of growth in my biceps. I need huge arms so I can high-five better.

I went thrift shopping and bought a framed stock photo of a Koala and a didgeridoo. My room is increasingly becoming more Australia-core.

I also FINALLY got to Master rank in Pokemon TCG Pocket. The last rank was HELL HELL HELL. I wish I could find the time to stream this game because I have so many cool strats and battles that I think people would enjoy watching.

Finally, me and the roomie have been messing around with an old SFW game idea I've had for like.....8 years. It's one of my favorite concepts I've ever created. Unfortunately I don't mix my SFW with my NSFW, otherwise I'd tell you guys all about it. 😥

⚽ Now to Gooey with Sports: Loving my new Kickball team! I think I'm one of our best catchers. One inning I caught all 3 outs!! I have yet to get a run in the first 4 games, BUT I WILL. Only one sport this season due to being busy as HECK.

🎥 NOW WATCHING: Survivor, White Lotus, Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor, Hacks

SPOILERS AHEAD!! Don't read if not caught up!

Survivor: Cedrek got what was coming to him tbh. Sai was a little nutty but it made sense to get her out now. Thoroughly enjoying this season so far, I'm rooting for a lot of people!

Kaiji Ultimate Survivor: The tightrope game was hard to watch. After the shenanigans they pulled in that one, I'm really starting to judge Kaiji's decision to keep playing. Girl go sell feet pics, do ANYTHING but these damn games.

White Lotus: Belinda safe we won. The finale was enjoyable, even if it was a bit predictable, I still really enjoyed it. I think my favorite part was Laurie's speech about being happy to be where you are in life, instead of comparing yourself or taking things for granted. Wish Greg was poisoned tho!!

Hacks: Hacks is BACK BABY and what a start to the season it was!! I can't remember the last time a show made me audibly laugh this hard. I don't like seeing my girlies fight but these heart wrenching moments are prestige television. Poor Ava, that hug was brutal.
