Happy October! Thank you for being with me for another month. I’ve had a quiet day mostly in bed today, but tomorrow I’m planning on working out the content for the rest of the month.
My last video (playing Among Us) may not have had a ton of views on YouTube, but a ton of you guys have commented about how you’d love to play the game with me - so I’m working out the best way for us to do that! It would be Patreon-exclusive (not sure about what tier yet) but we’d need to work out a way to do voice chat. I know the obvious answer is a Discord server, but I’m still a bit reluctant to have another one of those after the last one dissolved into needless drama and fighting (perhaps those individuals have matured since then, but I still have a negative impression from the whole experience) - so what would you guys suggest? If Discord is the best solution, so be it, but I’d appreciate any alternatives.
I’ll be spending some time this week setting up my Zoom account for the next livestream as well. In my ‘downtime’ (basically the time I’m not on camera) this week I’ve been working on finalising some music that I’m super excited about... it’s so amazing to see a big project begin to take shape.
There will also be a new song demo in the coming days and I’ll also be working on the next Feel Good 101 video!

2020-10-04 14:51:42 +0000 UTCdiscord is probably the best option but instead of a server you could create a group dm when you're playing the games and kick people out once they've left the game - my friend streams on twitch and that's what she does!

You can set user permissions and only allow certain users access to the chat room. Having mods is a great idea too. You can also set your whole discord to invite only to keep out the undesirables. What a great idea! I’m excited at the possibility to play Among Us with you and fellow Patreons. It will be so much fun!🥳

2020-10-03 21:14:06 +0000 UTCThis sounds like so much fun! I love Among Us, but none of my friends play, so it's kinda lame to play with people who aren't on voice chat. Discord is probably the best, we just need some mods or something to keep things in line. Idk why peeps have to be so petty -_-

2020-10-03 19:47:19 +0000 UTCAs long as there are a small number of chat sections and these are moderated (I'd be willing to help you out there!) then it should stay a friendly place! I think setting rules for a discord and having mods continuously making sure these are being followed is a good point of call- it can be a very small discord server!

There are options on zoom to disable cameras, so you don't *have* to use video chats, but it is never truly a voice chat. I would love to play among us or other games with this group of people! Also super excited for more news on music!
