Getting weird with Courtnee Fallon Rex

Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of working with a new client, traveling performer/musician/artist Courtnee Fallon Rex, who came to town to collaborate on a variety of images and ideas together in the studio.

As we talked over email about the possible things we could shoot together, she mentioned that she'd be more than happy to shave her head for something weird.

Of course I said "yes!"

After shooting several different series of portraits, we decided to get to the weird stuff, first with some clown makeup shots which we then purposely destroyed to get the look you see here, resulting in some of my absolute favorite shots of the day and some of my most emotive work this year.

It's rare that I get a client that lets me do whatever I want and I'm eternally thankful for Courtnee's trust in my vision.
