Neon Nights
Added 2017-11-12 19:12:03 +0000 UTCAs mentioned previously, I'm currently focused on getting out of the studio and teaching myself how to shoot better on location. One of the things I've been dying to do more of is night photography using neon lights as my light source.
My always gorgeous friend Meghan Chadeayne agreed once again to be the guinea pig for these photographic experiments. We scouted a few shop windows the week previous, then set out to capture some images this past week.
The results are definitely interesting and somewhat close to what I was looking for. I plan on going back out again soon to keep trying. I think this style would benefit from a different lens--I shot these on my 24-70mm but want to see what I can get if I switch it up to an 85mm or even possibly a 100mm. I also want to try a different location where there are more light sources and options as we were pretty limited with what we had close by.

Thanks Craig! Definitely going to be doing more of this kind of work in the near future. There's definitely a bit of a learning curve to it, so I want to get some practice in.

I love the colours at night and the challenge of shooting at high ISOs and wide open. Normally shoot with a 24-70mm or a 50mm got my eyes on a 135mm at the moment.
