I don't really do digital art anymore. My tastes have changed, I haven't kept up with current techniques, etc.
A few weeks ago, Richard Villa approached me about contributing a piece to the upcoming MONSTER VS MONSTER art/fx show happening at Exhibit A Gallery here in Los Angeles on October 21st. Each artist was asked to pick a famous movie monster/villain and create a piece.
Because I was already busy with my own art show, FANTASMA, up in Portland, I didn't have a tone of time to work on something for MvM but at the last minute was able to grab one of my favorite models, Amanda Jones, and my favorite makeup artist, Erin Nakashima, and together we knocked out a some photos.
During the shoot I decided I wanted to do more than just a regular photo and would add some digital post work to the final image.
Because the show is this Saturday, there wasn't a lot of time to really work on this piece--as it still has to be printed and framed and delivered to the gallery--and I can't say I'm 100% happy with the final image (I would have loved to have had more tie to embellish it) but here's the final results.
We shot a ton of images during our shoot and I'm hoping to go back and work on some more as time permits.
