The Allure of Eden Rose

Like a character straight out of Nabakov's mind, she's young, beautiful, and whip-smart with a dry, cutting sense of humor. You can't help but fall in love with her the moment you meet her.
I first met Eden when my ex-girlfriend--an amazing photographer in her own right--sent her to me knowing that she'd be the perfect fit for the work I do. And she was right.
Our first shoot together was a highly-charged evening, leaving me breathless as I captured this rare beauty, first in and out of her beloved kimono and then--her favorite--playing with blood.
Our second shoot, several months later, was a surreal and intense night. Physically ill and sick of the chaos of LA, Eden arrived in a dark, feral mood. With Mica Levi's "Under the Skin" soundtrack playing, I quietly snapped shot after shot as Eden transformed into an otherworldly creature full of rage, lust and longing.
As I watched her whisked away by her Uber afterwards, I was left shaken and dizzy by the exchange of energy we had just shared for the camera.
Needless to say, I cannot wait to see her again.

Definitely fake blood, though I think if Eden had her way, it would have been real. I do like how it looks here for sure.
