Nickie Jean again.
There's just something about this girl's face that I can 't get enough of. It certainly doesn't hurt that she's one of my closest friends here in L.A. and always ready at a moment's notice whenever I have new ideas to try out.
For this shoot, I have a very specific B/W portrait style I wanted to try. I wasn't able to get what I was looking for, but instead ended up with a series of portraits that I enjoy for entirely different reasons.
For the second half of the shoot, I wanted to experiment with plastic and blood. Again, not EXACTLY what I was after, but cool nonetheless.
Moving forward, I'm working on developing a new approach that incorporates both my erotic and my horror sides. I'm not really quite sure what that is yet, but you'll all get to see it develop as I figure it out right here on Patreon.
Techincal info: Shot against white backdrop paper using an Einstein head with diffused beauty dish for a key light. I used a single ProFoto head with reflector modifier to blow out the background in some shots, but the small room meant I didn't have enough space to set the lights, hence the cool but intended blow out around her head.
