[Sunday] Nola, Day 5

Lily and I started our fifth day in NOLA by shooting some Agent Provocateur and nudes out on the beautiful porch of Wonderland before breakfast.  Later that afternoon we shot a few more sets in living room and kitchen.

Once night time came, we ventured out for night two of the 7th Annual New Orleans Burlesque Fest.  The first show, Mondo Burlesque, was once again at Harrah's.  While our seats were in a weirdly awkward spot that made viewing hard with enduring a little neck pain, the show itself was spectacular.  The show's MC, Dr. Sick (who reminded be a lot of my friend Shiben) was an amazing fiddle player and did a hilariously awesome rendition of a Russian drinking song.  Performers that night included  Missy Lisa, Stephanie Blake, the hilarious acrobatic The Great Gadso who pulled off a unique balancing act involving several men from the audience, Kiki Cherie, Maxi Millions, a really beautiful musical striptease by Dollipop in which she played sax, flute and kazoo while being stripped down by her assistants, an aerial act by Aero Trapeze featuring Harvest Moon and Jason Mejias, MisRed Delicious, Audrey Ivory and show headliner Medianoche, who was one of Lily's burlesque idols.

After the show we made our way over the House of Blues to catch Bad Girls of Burlesque.  Unlike the more traditional burlesque shows, Bad Girls featured a lot more twerking, modern stripteases and music.  As an avid fan of beautiful butts, it was definitely right up my alley.  Hosted by that absolutely awesome and sassy Jeez Loueez, the show featured Nina La Voix, The Slaughterhouse Sweethearts who performed a horror-themed act with chainsaws, Regina Dentata who did a great drag performance, Puss-N-Boots with her Catwoman themed fetish act, Penny Wren, Ariel Helvetica, Duchess DeBerry, Rummy Rose and Wanda Bones who opened the night with a twerking-based striptease, Muza De La Luz, Bethany Summersizzle and a final performance by the newly crowned Queen, Stormy Gale.

After the show, we hung out a bit trying to decide where to go grab some late night food and ended up spotting several of the night's performers.  Lily had an opportunity to chat briefly with Medianoche which made her night perfect.

We wound up at a little bar called Backspace where we encountered a very drunk Naughty Pierre who was the previous night's MC.  After a short and silly exchange, Lily and I finally called it a night.
