It's 7:30am and I'm running on 2 hours sleep. Lillian Winters and I are about an hour into our five hour journey to New Orleans by way of Dallas.
We started off the adventure arguing with baggage attendants. Apparently, the Airlines have been looking for new ways to gouge customers for more money. To check out 5 bags cost $270, which was more than the plane ticket itself. We originally only had 3 checked bags, but were told that our two carry-ons, which I've been carrying onto planes for the last 5 years at least, were "too big" to be carried on now.
I was hoping to sleep during this leg of the flight, but after a 20 minute snooze after take off, I find myself wide awake. Lillian has managed to fall asleep sleeping straight up, her body twitching every time the plane shuddered under the wind.
We're currently somewhere over New Mexico. I'm going to attempt another nap.

1pm.
Still no nap. First leg of flight went fairly smoothly though I'm exhausted.
Earlier, a stewardess announced over the comm that they were looking for any "medical professionals" on board. Never something you want to hear before taking off on a flight. Not sure what the issue was, but it didn't seem to prevent our departure.
Currently somewhere near the Texas/Louisiana border. Should be in NOLA very soon.
----
We are arrived at NOLA!
At the airport, our $36 flat fee cab ride somehow becomes $60. This is going to be an extremely expensive trip.
That said, the house is absolute amazeballs. I can't wait to start shooting everything here!
The rest of the evening should be interesting. I'd love to just grab some sleep, but the home is being opened to a traveling music act by the name of Deradoorian who will be performing in the parlor later in the evening.
No rest for the wicked.
