Welcome to Week 6!

This week, longtime fan Colin Marshall joined our growing cult. Welcome aboard, Collin!

Another slow week here, as the blazing summer heat makes me want to do a whole lot of nothing. On Tuesday, Blood on the Dance Floor came to the studio for an album cover session. BOTDF is a pretty regular client, usually coming in for photos every month or two. While I'm thrilled to have the work, I find myself in an interesting dilemma: Somehow I always manage to do my best lighting work with the band and am always happy with the results, especially of band member Jayy Von (pictured above) who is just insanely photographic.

Unfortunately, the band never wants just straight images, instead opting to have me photoshop them into heavily modified/painted album covers and t-shirts. So, in the end, the actual photo work is never seen.

I'll still have the originals for my portfolio, but would love to be able to distribute these a little more publicly at some point.

A little later today (today being Friday, as I'm a day late with this update) I'll be doing some lighting tests with my regular model and friend Nickie Jean. Keep an eye out for those shots soon!
